To easily see how this works just take off the slide and insert a empty magazine and you can see the slide lock raise up. However I find it near impossible to release the slide once it is locked back using the slide release lever. If I press on it as hard as I can with both thumbs it will release.

FCU has to go back into WC grip with takedown vertical and so trigger first and back end with pin to lock it in.
